Required
Background: Linux Admin, Unix Admin, System Admin OR Network admin with security experience and security interest
Coming from a small team where they handled systems/networks/Linux or Unix, with security chops as well
Need to be OK handling different issues, different projects, not just following a script
Someone who can think on their feet, it's a wild west type environment, no policies or procedures in place
Experience in highly-regulated industries like defense, banking, etc. are something the hiring manager has avoided given the daily ambiguity that the work imposes
This is a very small team of two who handle all the infosec needs of the institute
They want someone that can think for themselves and can operate without a clear cut structure
Preferred
Python scripting (basically a must have though)
CISSP or security related certifications
