Associate Consultant - Data Engineer

Responsibilities
Assist in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines for ETL/ELT processes
Work with structured and unstructured data from multiple sources (e.g., databases, APIs, cloud storage)
Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and software engineers to understand data requirements
Support the development and maintenance of data models, data warehouses, and data lakes
Help ensure data quality, consistency, security, and availability across the organization
Monitor pipeline performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise
Document systems, workflows, and data definitions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business challenges, define data requirements, and develop meaningful metrics for tracking data governance improvements
Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in insurance data
Collect, cleanse, and validate data from various sources to ensure accuracy and integrity
Prepare clear and concise reports, visualizations, and presentations to communicate data findings to stakeholders
Participate in client meetings, workshops, and presentations to understand client objectives and challenges
Build strong relationships with client stakeholders by collaborating to develop high-quality deliverables
Communicate findings in a clear and concise manner
Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in data analytics, data management and governance, and consulting
Develop expertise in advanced analytics techniques
Contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives by sharing insights, experiences, and emerging trends and technologies related to data management and data governance in the insurance industry
Encourage a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and innovation
Qualification
Required
1 year of professional work experience preferred. Would consider a recent college graduate who has had a minimum of 1 internship in related field. Must be available to start on/before May 1 2026
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field is required
GPA of 3.5+ is required
Experience with SQL (e.g., writing queries, joins, aggregations) is required
Experience with programming in Python
Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to learn new technologies and tools quickly
Candidates can work for any employer without requiring current or future immigration processing
Preferred
Exposure to data processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, Airflow, or DBT) is desirable but not required
