Responsibilities

Travel to customer sites (domestic and potentially international) to perform installation, start-up, commissioning, and scheduled/preventative maintenance on hydraulic press equipment
Diagnose complex mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and control system issues using diagnostic tools, technical expertise, and detailed schematics to implement effective, timely solutions
Assist with equipment retrofits, upgrades, and modifications (e.g., HMI/PLC adjustments) to improve performance, reliability, and automation
Provide exceptional customer service, offering technical guidance, hands-on training for customer operators and maintenance personnel, and addressing client concerns professionally
Prepare and maintain accurate, detailed service reports, documentation, expense reports, and work orders, including parts usage and maintenance recommendations
Collaborate with internal engineering, sales, and production teams to provide field feedback, resolve complex issues, and contribute to continuous product improvement
Adhere to all company and OSHA safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment at all times

Required

High school diploma or GED required
Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a field service, industrial maintenance, or manufacturing environment, with a strong background in hydraulically operated machinery is required
Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics and blueprints
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for diagnosing system failures and identifying root causes
Competency in using a variety of diagnostic equipment and hand tools
Working knowledge of AC/DC circuitry and industrial controls

Preferred

An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent technical training/military experience is preferred
Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting (e.g., Allen Bradley, Siemens) is a significant plus
