VALERE is seeking a Program/Project Manager for a long-term contract position with a municipality client. This role involves leading large-scale, multi-department technology initiatives that enhance accountability and service delivery, particularly in public safety transformation.

Responsibilities

Lead complex, multi-department technology initiatives aligned with regulatory requirements and organizational priorities

Partner with a Senior IT Program Manager to create and manage program and project plans, including outcomes, success metrics, budgets, schedules, and risk management strategies

Manage multiple interdependent projects within a broader program framework, ensuring alignment and shared accountability

Maintain tracking mechanisms to ensure IT investments meet or exceed stakeholder expectations

Develop business-centric enterprise information management solutions based on assessments of business practices, culture, customers, and objectives

Deliver IT solutions integrated into enterprise infrastructure, leveraging existing applications, enabling technologies, and commercial off-the-shelf products

Navigate evolving problem spaces by synthesizing information from multiple sources and driving clear decisions through a hands-on, lead-by-doing approach

Required

Proven experience leading large-scale IT programs and complex project portfolios

Strong program and project planning expertise, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management

Strong stakeholder engagement and change management skills

Experience establishing performance metrics, feedback loops, and continuous improvement practices

Ability to commute to various onsite locations as required
