They are seeking a Seasonal Marketing Coordinator to assist with executing advertising and lifestyle communications strategies for their brands, playing a pivotal role in promotional campaigns leading up to the Kentucky Derby Week.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the marketing manager on planning, execution, and recap of Derby Week and Spring meet advertising campaigns in partnership with the agency of record
Assist in the ideation and development of lifestyle PR campaigns and content that cater to consumer insights and market trends
Assist with lifestyle communications and PR plan execution for exposure of the Kentucky Derby Week and Churchill Downs events
Collaborate with the marketing manager on the planning, execution, and recap of influencer campaigns
Assist with advertising execution for Churchill Downs and the Kentucky Derby Week brand campaigns
Assist in analyzing consumer trends and campaign data to turn insights into action
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive messaging and brand identity across all communication channels
Implement sponsorship, community, and marketing initiatives as directed
Provide administrative support as needed, including scheduling meetings, organizing files, and managing inventory of marketing materials

Required

Experience in public relations or marketing roles, preferably within a fast-paced setting
Excellent organizational skills, with a knack for prioritizing tasks and juggling multiple projects
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and work collaboratively within a team
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines
Proficient abilities to analyze data in Excel and share insights through charts and storytelling
Available to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as required by the racing schedule and events
Ideal candidate will currently be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field
Ability to sit or remain stationary for extended periods
Capability to focus on projects for extended durations
Occasionally required to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds
