Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects including materials, labor, and overhead costs

Analyze blueprints and construction documents to identify project scope and requirements

Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure accurate understanding of project specifications

Utilize estimation software such as AGTEK and HeavyBid to facilitate cost estimation processes

Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and gather relevant information for estimates

Maintain and update a database of costs for materials and services to ensure accurate future estimates

Prepare bid proposals and present findings to management and clients

Assist in the development of project budgets and financial forecasts

Required

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field

Proven experience as an estimator in the construction industry

Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials, particularly in pond, concrete, and utility construction

Experience with estimating software such as AGTEK and HeavyBid

Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail

Strong communication and negotiation skills

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Familiarity with specialized rock excavation and various utility plant construction techniques

Currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa
