Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and manage scalable and secure Linux-based systems (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.) across data centers and cloud environments in multiple regions
Provide escalation support for complex Linux Server issues, collaborating with operations and support teams to resolve incidents efficiently
Define security best practices, hardening guidelines, and compliance standards for Linux Server environment
Communicate and enforce Linux Server standards across teams and stakeholders to ensure consistent implementation and compliance
Participate in the adoption of automation and IaC projects to optimize system performance and reduce manual intervention globally
Mentor and guide junior engineers in best practices and automation techniques
Ensure security and industry standards are being met through automation
Manage and optimize virtualization and hyper-converged infrastructure to ensure high availability and scalability
Ensure comprehensive backups, effective monitoring, capacity planning, and thorough documentation for all data centers globally
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation
Qualification
Required
BS degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering, virtualization platforms, and hyper converged infrastructure, with a strong focus on automation
Deep expertise in Linux Server administration, operations, escalation support, and security best practices
Experience with Linux Server Identity Management Platforms
Expertise in Configuration Management with Ansible
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred
Experience with Terraform, Packer, and scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell)
