Responsibilities
Create detailed piping layouts and drawings using CAD software, primarily AutoCAD
Perform 3D modeling of piping systems to visualize and resolve potential conflicts
Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to ensure accurate design implementation
Conduct material takeoffs to estimate quantities and costs for project budgeting
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes related to plumbing and piping systems
Coordinate with project teams to support the timely execution of designs and prevent project delays
Review and revise designs based on feedback from engineers and project managers
Qualification
Required
Proven experience in mechanical design and piping detailing
Proficiency in Revit
Strong understanding of blueprint reading and interpretation
Knowledge of code compliance and industry standards
Ability to perform material takeoffs accurately
Excellent project coordination and communication skills
Preferred
Field experience as a pipefitter
