Responsibilities
Transform specs and blueprints into complete estimates for mechanical scopes—labor, materials, equipment, and indirect costs included
Engage with project managers and engineers to clarify scope, validate takeoffs, and confirm constructability
Scan the market for pricing shifts, source suppliers, and benchmark costs
Collect, compare, and level subcontractor and vendor quotes
Support the creation of project budgets and financial forecasts
Keep estimate records, notes, and calculations organized and accessible
Join project meetings to explain cost drivers and budget considerations
Continuously refine templates, databases, and workflows to improve estimating accuracy
Qualification
Required
Track record estimating industrial mechanical work
Working knowledge of mechanical systems and construction processes
Comfort with estimating software and Microsoft Office tools
Strong math, analysis, and attention to detail
Clear communicator who collaborates well across teams
Ability to handle multiple assignments and tight timelines
Preferred
Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or similar
