Responsibilities

Support development of test plans, execute ground and flight tests, and document test results for missile and projectile programs
Execute test plans with mission relatable requirements along with recording data and insights during test execution
Work to deliver test objectives, and follow test procedures accordingly
Support technical interchanges for test activities on major weapon system development and demonstration programs acting as the primary interface with engineering, and other technical staff
Effectively communicate test execution needs at test readiness reviews
Respond with recorded data at test event briefs and post-test debriefs
Provide on-site test support, data collection, troubleshooting and trade skills to enable effective testing
Provide and appropriately archive test data to engineering and management team for analysis
Capture integration and test failure details in reports
Provide technical support to responsible engineers and communicate post-test results
Estimate time required to conduct testing and complete assigned tasks within project schedule
Provide support to rapid resolution of test delays though use of trade skills and talents including during test thorough communication with task leads and other leadership during assignments
Collaborate with GA and customer engineering and program management teams for safe and effective integration and testing activities
Fill documentation and make technical recommendations and presentations as required
Support development, review, and editing of technical documents as required
Integrate, build, create and test parts of systems and full assembles using hand tools and power equipment in a safe and effective manner
Perform other duties as required
We operate on a 9x80 schedule with every other Friday off

Required

Typically requires an associate's degree or bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (e.g. Electrical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Precision Machining, etc.) from an accredited institution including trade schools and progressive experience as follows; four or more years of experience with an associate's degree, two or more years of experience with a bachelor's degree. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education
Must have a thorough understanding of manufacturing, troubleshooting and equipment operation principles, and processes
Excellent communication skills, including documenting test, reading and executing procedures, and filling reports; capturing system test information; recording test failures; and reporting test results
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot test and equipment failures, document findings, and work to closure
Diverse test, manufacturing, assembly, experience with a variety of electronic or mechanical systems as well as experience working in an agile and fast paced environment
Must possess the ability to develop and communicate new concepts; apply them accurately in a dynamic environment; organize, schedule, and coordinate work phases; and determine the appropriate approach at the task level and project level to provide solutions to a range of complex problems
Must have ability to work independently and as part of a team; able to perform complex tasks in one or more areas with a willingness to build new skills as opportunities are presented
Ability to multi-task, demonstrate strong initiative and work ethic, and work effectively with a diverse team of Engineers and scientists
Able to work extended hours as required
Travel throughout the U.S. in support of testing is required
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance
Success in position requires consistent display of the following key abilities: Hands on approach to rapid and effective problem solving: identify issues, analyze and interpret data and develop innovative solutions to a variety of complex problems
Communication skills to document, develop, and present technical issues so that stakeholders across the organization readily understand the content and their related actions
