Responsibilities
We are seeking Assistant Civil Engineers who will work with our Utility Engineering group on New York City infrastructure design and construction projects at our office in Lower Manhattan
The Assistant Civil Engineer will engage in research, investigation, and design tasks related to roadway, infrastructure design, and construction projects for our Private Utility Clients
This may include:
Catch basin and watermain design and alignment
Record research and site investigation for utility clients and city agencies
Maintenance and Protection of Traffic Construction Staging
Studies, development of technical drawings, preparation of estimates of quantities and writing specifications
Field work for data gathering, test pit inspection, surveys and construction observations
Coordination with various City Agencies
Qualification
Required
A Baccalaureate degree in civil engineering from an accredited college
0-3 years of experience
Knowledge of CAD (AutoCAD especially)
Knowledge of Civil3D, (a plus)
Knowledge of Microstation, (a plus)
Detailed oriented, excellent writing skills
