Responsibilities
Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates for industrial projects
Consult with clients, vendors, and personnel in other departments to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues
Prepare estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors
Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates
Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work
Review material and labor requirements to decide the most cost-effective solutions
Maintain records of estimated and actual costs
Qualification
Required
Strong background in estimating for industrial projects, particularly warehouses, automotive energy facilities, and manufacturing/distribution centers
Experience analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates for industrial projects
Ability to consult with clients, vendors, and personnel in other departments to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues
Experience preparing estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors
Ability to confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates
Experience preparing estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work
Ability to review material and labor requirements to decide the most cost-effective solutions
Experience maintaining records of estimated and actual costs
Currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa
