Geotechnical Engineer
Certerra is a growing national provider of testing, inspection, and certification services that support innovation in new product development. The Geotechnical Engineer will manage small projects and discrete tasks within larger projects, focusing on geotechnical investigations and engineering analyses, while ensuring technical excellence and client satisfaction.
Civil Engineering
Responsibilities
Scoping geotechnical investigations and preparing draft proposals and cost estimates
Managing and conducting field investigations; reviewing samples/core; ordering laboratory tests and preparing/reviewing/editing boring logs for investigations of any scale
Working directly with and managing sub-consultants
Performing and/or supervising engineering analyses
Preparing geotechnical investigation and geologic hazard reports
Reviewing plans and specifications for conformance with the intent of RMA’s geotechnical recommendations
Assisting in the managing, training, mentoring and supervision of staff-level engineers
Managing construction-phase services for projects; and conducting onsite construction observation for engineering-related activities, if needed
Qualification
Required
U.S. Citizenship or legal authorization to work in the U.S
Kansas State Licensed PE
Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or related discipline
Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills
Excellent writing and communication skills
