Responsibilities
Provide friendly, outgoing, and professional customer service, including assisting customers and resolving concerns
Remain productive and engaged in a fast-paced environment; demonstrate self-motivation and the ability to multitask efficiently
Maintain dependable attendance and punctuality
Accurately process customer transactions and participate in suggestive selling
Follow cash control procedures, including cash drops; safeguard company funds; complete shift reports accurately
Maintain store cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, wiping surfaces, picking up litter, and cleaning and sanitizing restrooms
Stock shelves, coolers, and displays both inside and outside the store
Follow food preparation and sanitation guidelines; operate food service equipment; monitor safe food temperatures and record waste as required
Adhere to all safety procedures, including fuel dispensing safety standards
Qualification
Required
Must be 18 years of age or older
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
Ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees, vendors, and management; ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Ability to perform basic math calculations, make correct change, and accurately complete shift reports
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds independently
Ability to carry trash containers and lift contents into exterior bins; occasional use of step ladders
Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, squat, reach, and perform overhead reaching as needed
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8–10 hours) on concrete or tile surfaces
Ability to sweep, mop, and maintain interior and exterior store areas and equipment, including snow removal
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts as scheduled
Ability to work in freezers and coolers (approximately 10°F) for up to 30 minutes at a time
Ability to tolerate exposure to gasoline fumes and cleaning products
Preferred
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous retail experience preferred, but not required
