Responsibilities
Build detailed, bottom-up estimates for transmission and distribution projects, with a focus on high-voltage substation scope
Analyze RFPs, engineering documents, and constructability to ensure precision and feasibility
Develop estimate schedules, risk registers, and high-level project timelines
Lead internal reviews of scope, quantities, and commercial terms to identify and mitigate risk
Manage vendor and subcontractor quote integration, bid reviews, and solicitation processes
Estimate indirect costs, general conditions, and validate contingency recommendations
Present final estimates to leadership and support pre-construction services
Maintain cost history databases and mentor junior estimators
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
7+ years of project estimating experience
Deep knowledge of transmission & distribution construction estimating
Proficient in Microsoft Office, ConEst, and K-base
OSHA 10-hour certified
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
Preferred
4+ years in self-perform substation work
