U-Box Operations Analyst (IN-HOUSE ONLY)

U-Haul is seeking an experienced U-Box Operations Analyst to oversee and optimize U-Box operations. The role involves managing complex operational challenges, driving process improvements, and engaging with senior leadership to enhance service quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

Serve as a primary operational point of contact for complex and escalated U-Box and Moving Help issues
Partner cross-functionally with field teams, internal departments, service providers, and leadership to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
Independently analyze emerging operational issues and develop strategic, actionable solutions
Lead and manage difficult or sensitive conversations to resolve disputes, drive accountability, and uphold service standards
Own the escalation, documentation, tracking, and reporting of bugs, claims, disputes, and systemic issues to management and application teams
Actively promote and drive a culture of continuous improvement through process refinement, training, and operational feedback loops
Handle both inbound and outbound calls related to escalated U-Box concerns, including mileage disputes, claims, and service failures
Develop and maintain procedures, training materials, and operational documentation to improve consistency and performance
Coach and support internal teams and service providers through complex operational scenarios
Lead or contribute to special initiatives and cross-departmental projects, including U-Haul special projects
Adapt to changing priorities and support special assignments as business needs arise
Provide advanced operational support to field and internal teams supporting Moving Help and U-Box services
Review and manage RepWest claims involving Moving Help
Monitor and respond to service provider requests via the MH Field Support inbox
Identify trends, analyze data, and proactively flag operational risks
Escalate and track application bugs and systemic issues through established reporting channels
Maintain a 'call-first' approach to efficiently and decisively resolve issues
Provide support outside of scheduled hours when operational needs require
Operate independently with minimal supervision
Demonstrate strong troubleshooting, judgment, and decision-making skills
Communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively with all levels of the organization
Analyze operational data and translate findings into actionable outcomes
Accurately track, document, and report claims, disputes, and ongoing issues
Balance competing priorities while meeting tight deadlines

Required

Demonstrated experience in operations, logistics, or service-based support roles
Strong working knowledge of Moving Help, U-Box, or similar operational platforms (highly preferred)
Proven ability to manage escalations and complex operational challenges
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment

Preferred

Advanced proficiency in Excel
Experience with Azure DevOps or similar tracking and reporting tools
