Outside Sales Account Manager
Venteon is a leader in the Steel Processing Industry, seeking an Outside Sales Account Manager. The role requires previous business development experience in steel sales and involves quoting RFQs, prospecting, and strategizing long-term opportunities.
Responsibilities
Quote RFQ’s. Verbally discuss and gather all pertinent information from the customer
Review feasibility and sourcing. (Stock, mill, spot)
Knowledge of various steel industries specifications required
Enter RFQ opportunities in Salesforce
Strategize with management and outside sales on long term program opportunities
Prospect/ Cold call- travel when required
Assist CSR’s, Production scheduling and traffic coordinators as needed
Solid working knowledge of the steel industry
Understand Quality procedures for compliance
Qualification
Required
Previous Business Development Experience in Steel Sales is Required
Steel Sales Experience in the Industrial & Manufacturing Markets Required
Must be a Self-Starter with proven New Business Development Success
Must possess the ability to Grow Existing Accounts
Positive, Enthusiastic and Outgoing Attitude
Microsoft Office and ERP Experience Needed
Must be able to Travel Regularly for this Position
Can work Independently with Limited Direct Supervision
Excellent communication, organizational and written skills
Preferred
Flat Rolled Steel Knowledge as well as Stainless Steel and/or Aluminum
A Bachelor's Degree is Desired but not Required
