Responsibilities
Fabricate commercial, prototype, and short-run machine components from raw material to print
Develop and modify CNC programs for mills, lathes, and machining centers
Operate CNC and manual machining equipment including mills, lathes, band saws, and drill presses
Design and utilize fixtures and jigs to improve repeatability and efficiency
Select proper tooling, feed rates, and coolant requirements for specific materials and parts
Inspect parts using precision measuring tools to ensure conformance to specifications
Prepare material stock using band saws, sand blasters, and related equipment
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times
Qualification
Required
3+ years of experience as a Machinist or CNC Operator in a manufacturing environment
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints
Strong understanding of milling, drilling, and machining fundamentals
CNC Programming and Editing
Mill and Lathe Operation (CNC & Manual)
Blueprint Reading & GD&T
Precision Measurement (Micrometers, Calipers, etc.)
Tool Selection and Feed/Speed Optimization
Fixture & Jig Development
Strong Mechanical Aptitude
Commitment to Safety and Quality
Ability to Work Independently and in a Team
Preferred
Experience working with legacy parts or without prints
Forklift operation experience
Experience in high-mix / low-volume and prototype environments
Exposure to fabrication in industrial or heavy manufacturing settings
