Responsibilities
Operate digital print equipment and the software necessary for print operations
Complete jobs according to customer specifications in a timely and accurate manner
Monitor production output throughout the run for quality
Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal printing conditions
Ensure materials for the job are in stock and available for production
Properly document production information to account for all labor and materials consumed on a job
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Properly execute pressroom Safety Procedures
Act as a resource to Apprentice and Feeder
Troubleshoot with the help of the Lead Operator
Work overtime as needed
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Proficient in computer applications, including Mac and Windows operating systems
Good written and oral communication skills
Ability to follow documented procedures
Ability to read and understand oral/written instructions proficiently
Ability to read and understand tape measure and other measuring equipment
Math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions
Reliability through attendance, punctuality, and attention to workstation
Demonstrate a positive safety attitude
Frequent walking and standing
Manual dexterity for repetitive work
Frequent reaching, bending, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and stooping
Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs
Ability to visually inspect all work for defects and distinguish color
Preferred
Previous print industry experience
Experience using an ERP system
English proficiency is preferred to support job specific operational training and instruction requirements, workplace safety, and effective employee collaboration in a fast paced, changing environment
