The role involves assembling construction plans, preparing electronic drawings, and collaborating with Project Managers and Engineers on site designs and subdivisions.

Responsibilities

Assemble construction plans and assist the design team with submittals to reviewing agencies
Prepare electronic drawings using company CAD standards from marked-up plans and/or verbal instruction
Work with Project Managers and Engineers to design sites and subdivisions including roadways, utilities, grading, and drainage
Create and maintain base files, alignments, profiles, corridors, surfaces, and earthwork models using Civil 3D
Modify construction documents to reflect agency review comments
Produce quantities and assist with cost estimates as needed
Coordinate with engineers, designers, and other CAD team members
Organize and schedule work to meet project budgets and deadlines
Plot and publish plans and exhibits as required
May provide guidance and/or review work of lower-level CAD staff

Required

Minimum of 3 years of experience working with AutoCAD and Civil 3D for CAD Technicians
Minimum of 5 years of experience working in Civil 3D for Designers
Experience developing construction plans for sites and subdivisions including roadways, grading, drainage, water, and sewer systems
Strong drafting and plan production background
Detail-oriented and well organized
Ability to work effectively with limited supervision
Effective listening, verbal, and written communication skills
