The role involves ensuring efficient delivery of inmate medical and mental health services in compliance with various standards and regulations.

Responsibilities
Oversee daily healthcare operations within the correctional facility
Ensure medical, mental health, and support services are delivered in accordance with contract requirements
Monitor service delivery to ensure quality, efficiency, and compliance
Manage healthcare staffing schedules, coverage, and coordination
Support onboarding, credential tracking, and staffing compliance
Coordinate with clinical leadership to ensure adequate coverage
Ensure compliance with: New Jersey correctional healthcare standards, County policies and procedures, Applicable federal and state regulations
Prepare and submit required operational, compliance, and performance reports
Support audits, inspections, and corrective action plans
Monitor healthcare-related costs and resource utilization
Assist with budget tracking and cost control measures
Ensure efficient use of healthcare resources
Serve as the primary point of contact between: Vendor healthcare staff, County officials, Correctional facility administration
Facilitate communication and issue resolution across stakeholders
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field
Experience managing correctional or institutional healthcare operations
Experience with staffing coordination
Experience with operational reporting
Experience with regulatory compliance
Experience with healthcare administration in secure environments
Healthcare operations management
Correctional or institutional administration
Regulatory compliance and reporting
Staff coordination and scheduling
Cost monitoring and operational oversight
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively in a secure correctional environment
Preferred
Proven healthcare administrator with correctional or institutional experience
Strong understanding of correctional healthcare compliance and operations
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and professional
Comfortable working 100% onsite in a correctional facility
Effective liaison between healthcare providers and County leadership
