Sales Representative

HomeWorks Energy, Inc. is dedicated to helping homeowners increase their energy efficiency. The Home Energy Specialist is responsible for conducting energy assessments, recommending energy-saving measures, and providing exceptional customer service during the sales process.

Responsibilities

Conduct Mass Save home energy assessments
Utilize energy efficiency software to model homes and generate comprehensive energy savings reports
Recommend energy-saving measures such as insulation, LED lighting, and high-efficiency HVAC systems
Initiate sale and secure service contracts
Provide exceptional customer service and educate homeowners on energy efficiency benefits
Use effective sales techniques to ensure customer satisfaction and generate referrals
Organize and guide customer through paperwork processes
Install energy-saving products during assessments, including thermostats, water saving devices, and power strips
Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and promptly
Continually improve product knowledge and sales skills through ongoing learning, including staying informed on the latest energy-saving options and technologies
Collaborate with internal divisions to cross-sell products and services
Perform additional tasks as required

Required

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent
Valid MA driver's license and reliable transportation for travel required
BPI Certification
Basic computer skills required
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with strong organization and time management skills
Must work independently as the role is primarily field based
Excellent verbal, written, and listening skills
Outgoing, flexible, and personable demeanor
Requires proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
Previous customer service and sales experience preferred
MASS Save program knowledge a plus
