Responsibilities
Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accuracy
Assist with technical accounting issues and implementation
Prepare and analyze financial statements
Run the payroll
Collaborate with internal teams to streamline processes
Provide support during audits and tax preparation
Stay updated on industry trends and changes in financial concepts
Manages the month- end close process by completing bank reconciliations, posting revenue and expenses, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and ensures accurate and timely reporting
Manages all accounting functions including but not limited to general ledger accounting, accounts receivable and accounts payable
Reviews, evaluates and implements accounting systems, controls, policies, and procedures
Prepares monthly reporting including income statement, balance sheet and statement of cash flows in addition to supplemental reporting on fixed assets, depreciation and amortization of prepaid expenses
Maintains the chart of accounts to accommodate the business needs and provides insight into major expense categories
Maintains general ledger system and the integration of other systems into the general ledger
Completes monthly and quarterly sales reports
Manages accounts payable
Manages the annual audit and works with outside CPA firm in preparation of annual tax returns
Assists with the annual and quarterly budgeting process
Completes special projects that may be assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Previous experience as an Accountant or similar role
Proficiency in financial report writing
Knowledge of Public accounting practices
Strong understanding of accounting software and tools
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
