Responsibilities

Greet patients and visitors warmly, fostering a welcoming and detail-oriented atmosphere
Perform accurate patient registrations, including verifying insurance details and updating records
Coordinate scheduling for appointments, confirmations, and follow-ups to maintain smooth operations
Process payments and co-pays while balancing daily financial transactions effectively
Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient flow
Maintain strict confidentiality to protect patient privacy and comply with healthcare regulations
Address patient inquiries and concerns with empathy, escalating issues as necessary
Support patients by providing clear information regarding registration, scheduling, and insurance verification
Ensure compliance with healthcare policies and procedures in all interactions
Monitor and report any discrepancies or issues in patient records promptly

Required

At least one year of customer service experience is required
High school diploma or GED is required
Strong customer service skills, including call center or direct patient interaction experience

Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to connect with patients and staff
Knowledge of confidentiality practices and HIPAA compliance
Proficiency in handling payments and balancing transactions accurately

Preferred

Proven experience in patient scheduling and registration within a healthcare setting is a plus
Familiarity with healthcare systems and processes for managing patient services
