Responsibilities
Performs and Records receiving inspections on incoming materials in accordance with approved inspection test plans
Performs and Records in-process inspections on completed sub-assemblies prior to placing into inventory or finished products in accordance with approved inspection test plans
Performs and Records final inspections on finished products prior to shipping in accordance with approved inspection test plans
Quarantines and controls all products and materials that fail to meet specifications
Communicates inspection results with those responsible for meeting specifications
Serves as a center of knowledge for interpreting Mechanical drawings using AWS, ISO, and GD&T symbology, and provides mentorship to others
Takes the lead in developing incoming, in-process and outgoing inspection plans
Leads analysis of Inspection data during cross-departmental meetings
Qualification
Required
5+ years working in Quality Control in a Welding/Fabrication environment, or equivalent experience
Experience working in an ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, Quality Auditing experience as a plus
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with dynamic priorities, as assigned by Manager
Ability to be effective with minimal supervision and work as a team member with the Quality and Production Departments
Expertise in reading and interpreting mechanical and weld drawings (AWS, ISO, GD&T)
Positive attitude towards improving processes through Inspection and Root Cause Analysis
Expertise in Metrological techniques with Variable & Attribute Gages
Expertise in operating Optical CMM systems (Keyence WM & IM Series)
Associate degree in a Quality related field, or equivalent experience
Expert use of Microsoft Office applications (Excel spreadsheets, QMS interaction, and data entry)
Ability to regularly lift 20 lbs. throughout the course of a workday
Detail oriented
Preferred
Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) certification through the American Welding Society is a plus
