They are seeking Direct Support Professionals to assist developmentally disabled individuals in their homes and communities, focusing on habilitative and vocational activities to enhance life skills and independence.
Communities
Responsibilities
Provide formal and informal training on all habilitation and vocational activities, helping individuals acquire new skills and increase independence
Provide supervision and support in community settings
Complete all skill development and support and progress notes
Maintain a healthy and clean work area
Provide behavior support and crisis intervention as needed
Must be able to assist with lifting disabled individuals as needed
Assist with personal hygiene as needed
Facilitates the growth and community interaction of an individual with neurological impairments, learning disabilities, or autism
Provides a variety of independent living skills necessary to enable the individual to live successfully in the community while providing relief /respite to individuals who provide primary care and support
Maintain and submit service notes with documentation of hours worked on a regular basis
Qualification
Required
Minimum High School Diploma or GED
Must be able to assist with lifting disabled individuals as needed
Staff must be vaccinated against the Covid-19 virus before starting employment
Preferred
Bilingual Spanish a Plus!
