Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers across various industries
Technical Sales Support: Provide expert guidance on manufacturing capabilities, material selection, tolerances, and finishing processes
Proposal Development: Collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop accurate quotes, technical proposals, and project timelines
Project Oversight: Act as the primary point of contact for customer projects, ensuring alignment between client expectations and production execution
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with design, operations, and quality teams to ensure feasibility and manufacturability of customer requirements
Market Development: Identify emerging market opportunities and contribute to strategic sales initiatives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of experience in technical sales within metal manufacturing (sheet metal, machining, welding)
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including CNC machining, MIG/TIG welding, and metal forming
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD files
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) is a plus
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Willingness to travel to customer sites and trade shows as needed
Preferred
Experience with ERP and CRM systems
Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other quality standards
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
