Responsibilities
Develops and administers curriculum consistent with age level goals and objectives
Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction, and student learning
Develops lesson plans and instructional materials and translates lesson plans into learning experience to best utilize the available time for instruction
Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning, and modifies instructional methods to fit individual student’s needs, including student with special needs; conducts individual and small group instruction as needed
Continues to acquire professional knowledge and learn of current development in the educational field by attending seminars, workshops, or professional meetings or by conducting research
Organizes and maintains a system for accurate and complete record-keeping, grading, and reporting for all student activities, and achievements
Selects any requisitions appropriate books, instructional aids and other supplies and equipment and maintains inventory records
Other duties may be assigned
Manages subordinate employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in education or related major; teaching certificate; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Proficient in the use of standard office equipment
Preferred
Bilingual in Spanish preferred, but not required
