Responsibilities
Manage a litigation caseload of 25–35 active cases, focusing solely on litigation (no pre-litigation duties)
Draft and respond to pleadings, discovery, and motions, including dispositive and evidentiary motions
Develop litigation strategies, conduct risk assessments, and provide thoughtful client counseling
Take ownership of trial preparation, including trial briefs, witness examinations, jury instructions, and courtroom advocacy
Collaborate with colleagues on complex and high-value cases
Contribute to the growth of the firm by sharing knowledge, mentoring when appropriate, and improving processes
Qualification
Required
2–5+ years of CA Civil Litigation experience
Strong background in personal injury litigation (experience or interest in tenant rights and premises liability)
Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar
Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
Proven ability to think strategically, solve complex problems, and manage cases independently
Defense-side experience (e.g., insurance defense) is considered a strong asset
