Responsibilities
Load and unload trucks
Operate a sit-down forklift with a propane tank while transporting materials throughout the facility
Operate other motorized equipment in the work area
Transport material to designated areas throughout facilities
Load and unload sensitive electrical equipment
Transport oversized construction material
Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions
Perform proper daily equipment safety checks and notify the maintenance supervisor of any suspected problems
Follow the proper procedure for equipment refueling operations
Obey company rules regarding safe and effective equipment operations
Perform other tasks as directed
Qualification
Required
Be able to stand for long periods of time and also sit for long periods of time when operating the forklift
The job involves twisting, turning, reaching, bending, climbing, pulling, pushing, and holding arms at shoulder height for extended periods
Uses both hands to lift, place, and manipulate material
Able to lift long and awkward parts weighing up to 50lbs. repeatedly during the day
High school Diploma or GED
Able to operate a forklift or have some forklift experience
Basic math skills
Problem Solving / Analytical ability
Perform calculations
Ability to communicate both written and oral
Interpersonal and organizational skills
Mechanical aptitude
Pass a criminal background check, drug screen, and must do a face-to-face interview before being hired
We e-verify all new workers. Must be authorized to work in the USA
Preferred
Some warehouse and forklift operating experience is preferred
