This role involves creating CAD and GIS-based drawings, preparing plan sets, and coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Create CAD and/or GIS-based drawings for fiber routes, handholes, splice points, and service drops
Prepare plan sets, profiles, schematics, and as-built drawings
Translate field data, surveys, and engineering input into construction-ready designs
Support design revisions, redlines, and clarifications during construction
Assist with material take-offs and constructability reviews
Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders as needed
Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards
Qualification
Required
Associate degree, technical certificate, or equivalent experience in drafting or engineering support
Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, ArcGIS, or similar tools
Working knowledge of fiber optic or utility infrastructure design
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
Clear communication and collaboration skills
Preferred
Experience with FTTH / FTTx network design
Familiarity with aerial and underground utility standards
Experience producing as-builts and incorporating field changes
Exposure to GIS data management or 3D modeling
