Responsibilities
Utilize technical knowledge of laboratory testing and terminology to ensure accuracy in test results
Execute the analysis and processing of data, and release patient test results in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures
Conducts clinical molecular genetic testing for multiple workflows as well as high-complexity urine drug screens and confirmations on LC/MS instruments
Adhere to and review the laboratory's quality control policies, emphasizing documentation of all quality control and quality assurance activities
Evaluate test results for accuracy and assist in their interpretation for physicians
Demonstrates knowledge in laboratory procedures
Demonstrates knowledge and skill in multitasking and time management
Communicate effectively and demonstrate attention to detail in cross-referencing information and prioritizing tasks
Ensure that test result reports contain pertinent information required for patient interpretation
Maintain compliance with laboratory policies for personal protective equipment (PPE), hazardous waste disposal, and IT security
Participate in performing test method validation and verification runs for accuracy and precision
Document all corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from the laboratory's established performance specifications
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution
Minimum of 2+ years prior work experience in a laboratory certified under CLIA
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Proficiency in Microsoft and Google suites
