Senior Membership Service Representative
Catholic Life Insurance is an A- Rated Life Insurance Company seeking a motivated Senior Membership Service Representative who has a focus on providing an exceptional customer experience. This role serves as the first point of contact for all membership-related questions, requests, and concerns, requiring strong customer service skills and the ability to resolve inquiries effectively.

Responsibilities
Handle daily in-bound and out-bound phone calls to/from agents and members regarding life insurance and annuity policy information, utilizing multiple system programs simultaneously
Research files as necessary
Document all inquiries in administration system
Generate and compose written correspondence
Proofread and self-audit all correspondence and system notes for grammar, and accuracy of information, etc
Complete process requests and direct to other departments
Set up files and correspondence to be imaged
Review and approve paperwork for outgoing transactions i.e., 1035 exchange, transfers
Validate daily reports and delegate work generated from daily reports i.e., lapse and deficiency letters
Perform calculations for deficient, over loaned, and lapsed certificates and provide letters to members accordingly
Review reinstatement applications for completion prior to sending to underwriting for review
Manages and maintains daily work spreadsheet for MSC and may delegate work as needed to team
Assist supervisor on special projects
Assists with maintaining effective policies and disaster recovery procedures for unit
Assist and back-up supervisor with various managerial duties including team member audits
Expected to be team subject matter expert and assists with training as requested to include shadowing
Communicate effectively in oral and written form paying attention to detail
Various clerical duties as directed
May assist other units in the Operation Department as needed
Qualification
Required
Some College or Insurance Certification or License
Minimum five years customer service experience
Minimum two years of experience within the insurance/financial industry
Strong customer service skills
Professional phone etiquette
Life insurance and retirement product knowledge
Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form paying attention to detail
Intermediate clerical skills: keyboarding (45 wpm), 10 key (4500 ksph), filing, copying, scanning, faxing, proofreading, researching, etc
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Professional demeanor, attention to detail and the ability to juggle many tasks at once
Accountable, Coachable, Team Oriented, Customer Focused
Preferred
College or University Degree in related area
Professional Industry Designations i.e., ALMI, ACS, FLMI
Bilingual; Fluent in English and Spanish
Minimum two years of relevant experience with life and retirement products
Prior supervisory, coaching, performance management and/or leadership experience
LOMA Level 1 Certification (281 & 291), required as part of initial training plan
