Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging lessons aligned with the curriculum standards and objectives of the assigned English courses
Establish a supportive and inclusive classroom environment, encouraging student participation, collaboration, and respect for diverse perspectives
Meet the diverse learning needs and abilities of students, including those with special needs and English language learners, through various teaching methods
Assess student learning through various forms of formative and summative assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback to support their academic growth
Implement effective classroom management strategies, maintaining a positive and orderly learning environment conducive to student success
Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary units, share best practices, and align teaching strategies across grade levels and subject areas
Qualification
Required
Enthusiastic and experienced high school English teacher
Rich background in English literature and writing
Capability to teach various courses including English 9(I), Honors English 9, English 10(II), Honors English 10, English 11(III) (American Literature), English 12(IV) (British Literature), AP English Language and Composition, AP English Literature and Composition, and Academic Writing
Commitment to fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment
Ability to promote critical thinking, analytical skills, and effective communication among students
