Responsibilities
Interpret, verify, and accurately enter medication orders into the pharmacy system
Compound and dispense medications in accordance with regulatory and safety standards
Monitor medication therapy for contraindications, drug interactions, allergies, and appropriate dosing
Support and maintain the hospital formulary and promote evidence-based drug therapy
Provide accurate and timely medication information to healthcare providers and patients
Participate in clinical pharmacy services including pharmacokinetics, anticoagulation monitoring, renal dosing, IV to PO conversions, nutrition support, and pain management
Document all clinical interventions and pharmacy activities accurately
Report medication errors and adverse drug reactions per policy
Supervise pharmacy operations and support pharmacy technicians and staff
Collaborate with pharmacy leadership to maintain quality, safety, and workflow efficiency
Qualification
Required
B.S. in Pharmacy or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy
Active Florida Pharmacist License in good standing
Minimum 1 year of recent acute care hospital experience (REQUIRED)
Preferred
Prior experience within large hospital systems preferred
