They are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Facilities Management to provide operational leadership for their hospital's physical plant and support services.

Responsibilities
Provide overall strategic direction and daily operational management for the Facilities Management, Biomedical Engineering, and Environmental Services departments
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of managers, supervisors, technicians, and support staff
Ensure 100% compliance with all Joint Commission (TJC), OSHA, NFPA, Life Safety, and federal/state/local regulations governing the healthcare physical environment
Develop, administer, and control annual operating and capital budgets. Identify and implement cost-saving and efficiency initiatives
Plan, oversee, and execute minor and major construction, renovation, and facility improvement projects from conception to completion
Develop and maintain a robust preventive and predictive maintenance program for all building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, emergency power) and critical infrastructure
Ensure the Environmental Services department meets the highest standards of cleanliness, infection prevention, and patient satisfaction
Oversee the Biomedical Engineering program for the maintenance, repair, and safety of clinical equipment
Serve as a primary leader for facility emergency preparedness and management (e.g., disasters, weather events, system failures)
Manage vendor relationships, service contracts, and negotiations
Champion and implement energy conservation and sustainability programs
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field is required
Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in facilities management, engineering, or plant operations
Previous healthcare or hospital facilities management experience is required
Proven experience in managing multi-departmental budgets and capital projects
Expert knowledge of healthcare regulatory standards (TJC, NFPA, OSHA, CMS)
Strong financial acumen and analytical skills
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Proficient in project management and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
Preferred
Master's degree or relevant advanced certification is preferred
Certified Healthcare Facilities Manager (CHFM) strongly preferred
Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus
