Responsibilities
Take full ownership of the General Ledger for your assigned entity
Manage the complete accounting cycle: AP/AR, Bank Reconciliations, and Journal Entries
Ensure that 'what happened in the business' is accurately reflected in the books in real-time
Maintain the books in 'Audit-Ready' status 24/7
Prepare supporting schedules (PBCs) and documentation for annual audits and tax returns
Manage monthly compliance reporting (SURI, Municipal Tax, etc.) to ensure we never miss a deadline
Execute a disciplined month-end close process
Analyze variances (Budget vs. Actual) and flag discrepancies to the CFO/Supervisor immediately
Champion the use of QuickBooks Online and its integrations with our revenue platforms
Identify manual processes that waste time and propose automations or better workflows
Ensure proper digital filing of all financial documents
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
2-4 years of experience in full-cycle accounting
Mastery of QuickBooks Online (Non-negotiable)
Knowledge of Puerto Rico tax regulations (SURI, IVU, Withholdings)
Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables are your best friends)
Bilingual (Spanish/English) – Ability to communicate complex financial issues clearly
