The Purist is a high-quality content publisher focused on wellness as the new luxury. They are seeking a strategic Audience Growth, Social Media & Commerce Manager to drive audience development, social growth, and affiliate revenue across their platforms.

Publishing

Responsibilities

Build and scale our affiliate marketing program from scratch, identifying third-party products aligned with our brand and audience
Personally manage affiliate links, product selection, and on-site placement in collaboration with editorial
Test, optimize, and report on affiliate performance (CTR, conversion, RPMs, revenue)
Establish systems and best practices that can evolve into a full e-commerce operation
Own day-to-day social media management, with a primary focus on Instagram
Create, schedule, and publish content in collaboration with editorial and design
Actively engage with our community (comments, DMs, collaborations) to drive organic growth
Test new formats, trends, and posting strategies to increase reach and engagement
Grow website traffic through newsletter and social channels
Own strategies to increase free newsletter subscribers and improve engagement
Drive growth in paid print subscriptions using social, email, influencer partnerships, and on-site marketing
Plan and execute subscription campaigns, tests, and promotions
Develop and execute a TikTok growth strategy aligned with our brand, audience, and content
Launch and manage our TikTok presence, including content planning, posting, and performance tracking
Experiment with trends, formats, creators, and storytelling styles to drive discovery
Use TikTok insights to inform broader content and audience growth strategies
Identify and build authentic influencer partnerships that drive traffic, engagement, and follower growth
Pitch, negotiate, and manage influencer relationships end to end
Develop campaigns focused on content discovery, audience growth, and commerce conversion
Track results and continuously refine partnership strategy
Define success metrics and track performance across audience, social, affiliate, and subscriber growth
Run experiments, learn quickly, and double down on what works
Help shape the roadmap for launching an owned e-commerce platform as the audience scales

Required

3–7+ years of experience in audience growth, social media, affiliate marketing, or digital marketing
Proven experience growing social accounts (Instagram required; TikTok strongly preferred)
Experience building or managing affiliate revenue streams
Strong understanding of newsletters, social algorithms, and subscriber funnels
Comfortable working closely with editorial teams and content creators
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

Preferred

Experience at a startup or early-stage media brand
Background in consumer media, lifestyle, fashion, beauty, or culture
Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and monetization strategies
Experience growing paid subscriptions or memberships
