Direct Counsel is seeking a Land Use Associate Attorney to join a leading California-based firm. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside a highly respected and collaborative team of land use attorneys representing developers, property owners, and investors.

Responsibilities

4–7 years of experience in land use and natural resources matters, including due diligence, entitlements, and CEQA environmental review (required)
Familiarity with land use and/or CEQA litigation (helpful but not required)
Experience with natural resources, wetlands, endangered species, California Coastal Commission, BCDC, the Subdivision Map Act, or NHPA (a plus)
Strong analytical and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage both team-based and individual work
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Demonstrated commitment to teamwork and client service
Admission to the State Bar of California required
