Prep charts for upcoming visits
Triage patients (Vitals, HPI, histories, medication, allergy and diagnosis reconciliation, etc)
Prior Authorizations for medications, procedures, visits, etc
Manage outgoing and incoming referrals
Manage escribe
Fax completed progress notes and labs to referring physicians and pcp
Stock rooms
Possible travel
Cross train at front desk
Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification
Experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a nephrology office
Ability to triage patients and manage medical records
Knowledge of prior authorizations for medications and procedures
Strong communication skills for managing referrals and faxing documents
Ability to stock rooms and perform various administrative tasks
Willingness to travel if necessary
Flexibility to cross train at the front desk
Ability to perform all other duties as assigned
