Responsibilities
Perform high-complexity clinical testing, including LC/MS urine confirmations and infectious disease assays, in accordance with SOPs and CLIA regulations
Analyze, review, and validate test results prior to release to ensure accuracy and precision
Conduct and document quality control procedures and participate in quality improvement activities
Assist with test method development, validation, and verification as needed
Maintain accurate records, logs, and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
Ensure adherence to laboratory safety protocols, PPE requirements, and HIPAA regulations
Collaborate with laboratory management and technical staff to resolve operational and analytical issues
Support training of new staff or students as assigned
Contribute to maintaining a positive and collaborative team environment
Qualification
Required
Bachelors degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution
Valid California CLS license required
Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a CLIA-certified clinical laboratory
Strong understanding of laboratory quality systems and regulatory standards (CLIA, CAP, COLA, etc.)
Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and laboratory information systems (LIS)
Preferred
Experience in toxicology and LC/MS instrumentation
