Responsibilities

Maintain a positive attitude in a highly intense environment
Make pricing decisions on multiple-quote scenarios
Work in a team environment to accomplish departmental goals and to meet the needs of customers
Must be detail oriented and enjoy a fast paced, multi-tasking, customer-service minded environment
Utilize negotiating skills and sales techniques in order to secure business
Provide market-competitive pricing decisions for ArcBest's spot quote markets while maintaining profitability and market share
Evaluate and adjust quotes and freight bills, as necessary
Evaluate and analyze the optimum mode(s) of transportation for shipments
Display sense of urgency and ability to work under pressure, with attention to detail
Resolve other customer-service related issues which may be outside the scope of the department, through training or contacting other areas for assistance
Provide published rate quotes to customers
Answer customer and field questions regarding specific shipments and provide information on various logistical solutions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree
Customer service, sales, and/or prior transportation experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
