Responsibilities

Represent clients in workers compensation cases before the Maryland Workers Compensation Commission and other relevant authorities
Provide legal advice and guidance to clients regarding their rights and options in workers compensation claims
Prepare and file necessary legal documents, including claims, appeals, and motions
Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies
Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel
Develop case strategies and prepare clients for hearings and trials
Stay updated on changes in Maryland workers compensation laws and regulations

Required

JD and barred in Maryland
Experience with hearings before the Maryland Workers' Compensation Commission (a must)
Minimum of 3 years of experience in workers compensation law
Strong understanding of workers compensation laws and regulations in Maryland
Excellent litigation and negotiation skills
Proven track record of managing complex claims and cases
Ability to communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and other legal professionals
Strong research and analytical skills
Currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa
