This fast-paced, patient-facing role is responsible for ensuring accurate patient registration while delivering excellent customer service during critical moments of care.

Responsibilities
Greet and check in patients presenting to the Emergency Department
Verify and update patient demographic information
Obtain and accurately document insurance details
Perform front-end pre-collections when applicable
Rotate between admitting desk and bedside registration
Assist scheduled and walk-in patients across inpatient and outpatient settings
Support registration needs for emergency services, diagnostic testing, procedures, and inpatient admissions
Guide patients from initial presentation through hand-off to clinical staff
Maintain professionalism, empathy, and efficiency in a high-volume environment
Qualification
Required
Strong insurance knowledge
Full patient registration experience
Comfortable in a patient-facing role
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to work with urgency and walk frequently throughout the ED
Preferred
Prior Emergency Department registration experience
Experience using Epic (EPIC) electronic health records
