Responsibilities
Performing medical tests for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases
Accurately performing medical laboratory tests following established laboratory policies and procedures
Adhering to performance and quality standards
Clinical instrument maintenance
New test and instrumentation development
Training of other laboratory co-workers
Actively participating in the overall functioning of the clinical laboratory
Assuming leadership or member roles on committees and projects
Keeping the laboratory in continuous readiness for inspection
Qualification
Required
Must be a certified Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist
Or 1 year of clinical laboratory experience, performing non-waived patient testing & required to pass AMT or ASCP within 5 years & 6 months of hire
Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, medical laboratory science, medical technology etc
