Responsibilities
Lead and coach Practice Managers and Medical Directors to strengthen leadership capability, team engagement, staffing stability, and retention; set clear goals and provide regular, constructive feedback
Own regional operating results across revenue, labor management, doctor productivity, client satisfaction, and profitability; review P&L and KPI trends and implement action plans that achieve budget
Standardize and improve daily operations, including scheduling, inventory, workflow, service recovery, and expense control; reduce variability and resolve issues quickly
Partner with medical leadership to support consistent care standards, compliant medical record keeping, and effective use of practice management systems
Execute organic growth plans tailored to each practice, including service mix, pricing discipline, appointment access, and ramp plans for new doctors and services
Collaborate on local marketing initiatives and social media presence to build brand awareness and new client growth; ensure content reflects practice culture and client experience standards
Ensure readiness for licensing, safety, and regulatory requirements in all states of operation; close gaps promptly and maintain accurate documentation
Maintain facility condition and safety; prioritize repairs and improvements that impact team effectiveness and client experience
Translate company priorities into regional plans with clear owners, timelines, and reporting; partner closely with Operations leadership and cross-functional teams on projects and continuous improvement
Model and reinforce VetEvolve values of Serve, Evolve, Trust in daily decision making, communication, and change leadership
Qualification
Required
At least two years of multi-unit veterinary management overseeing four or more hospitals with combined annual revenue of eight million dollars or more and at least five years of leadership experience in the veterinary industry; or
At least five years of multi-unit management in a healthcare setting and at least two years of veterinary experience that builds familiarity with industry-specific operations
Proven capacity to scale into multi-site oversight, ultimately managing seven to ten practices with combined annual revenue from $15 to $25 million, with accountability for financial, operational, and quality outcomes
Demonstrated experience developing and executing practice-specific operating and organic growth plans in partnership with local leadership, including goal setting, resource allocation, and performance measurement
Clear and concise communicator with a strong track record of coaching teams and delivering actionable feedback
Advanced proficiency in profit and loss (P&L) analysis, key performance indicator (KPI) management, and developing and executing corrective action plans
Strategic problem solver with sound judgment on when to escalate issues and how to manage risk
Proven project planning and execution skills with disciplined follow-through to drive results
Proficiency with veterinary practice management systems and medical record standards
Exceptional prioritization and time management skills in a fast-paced, multi-site environment
