Responsibilities

Perform inspections under the direction of higher-level engineers

Prepare reports, studies, and related documents

Participate in technical review meetings with engineering and planning staff

Review engineering plans, reports, studies, and related documents

Qualification

Required

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in the English language

Ability to define problems, collect/interpret data, evaluate facts, draw valid conclusions, and effectively communicate findings/results

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage tasks efficiently and effectively

Higher-level mathematics, including trigonometry, algebra, geometry, and calculus, and its application to surveying and engineering computations

0-4 years of relevant experience

Possess knowledge of current literature, trends, and developments in the field of engineering and the ability to keep current with new developments

Possess knowledge of construction practices (concrete, steel, carpentry, welding, etc.)

Proficient in technical writing

Proficient in basic computer functions (Microsoft Office, etc.)

Be a self-starter and able to work as independently as possible

Current medical certifications including bloodborne pathogens, first aid, CPR, and emergency oxygen administration if performing fieldwork

Possess Marine Solutions core values including integrity, teamwork, dependability, and going above and beyond

Preferred

Curriculum focus in structural or geotechnical engineering

AutoCAD proficiency
