Vehicle Assembly Technician

Columbia Vehicle Group is seeking motivated and detail-oriented Vehicle Assembly Technicians to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will assemble vehicle components and systems according to specifications while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

Assemble electric vehicle components by placing parts in a specified sequence using bolts, clips, screws, staples, and glues/cements
Use air-powered and battery-powered tools to complete assemblies according to work instructions
Rotate to different workstations as production needs require
Remain flexible with work assignments, as different vehicle models require varying assembly operations
Read, understand, and follow written work instructions
Navigate computer systems to:
Access and review work instructions
Cross-reference part numbers
Check inventory levels
Reference production tables
Constantly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
Frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
Stand for up to 10 hours per day

Required

High school diploma or GED required
Valid driver's license required
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform hands-on assembly work
Comfortable using air-powered and battery-powered hand tools
Basic computer skills with the ability to navigate systems to access work instructions, part numbers, inventory, and production data
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Willingness to rotate between workstations and adapt to changing production needs
Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 10 hours per day)
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds frequently and up to 10 pounds consistently
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety

Preferred

Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, or production environments
Mechanical assembly experience in automotive, electric vehicle, or equipment manufacturing
Electrical wiring, harness installation, or component assembly experience
Forklift certification or prior forklift operating experience
Experience using air-powered and battery-powered hand tools
Ability to read basic diagrams, schematics, or assembly drawings
Familiarity with quality inspection standards and procedures
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a production environment
Dependable work ethic and commitment to meeting production goals
