Responsibilities
Represent sophisticated business and individual clients in complex commercial litigation matters
Handle cases involving breach of contract, tortious interference, breach of fiduciary duty, and other business torts
Draft high-quality pleadings, motions, discovery, and trial briefs with strategic insight and meticulous attention to detail
Take and defend depositions of parties, fact witnesses, and experts
Argue motions and appear in court for hearings, conferences, and mediations
Assist partners with overall case strategy, factual development, and trial preparation
Communicate regularly with clients and colleagues, managing day-to-day case responsibilities and deadlines
Collaborate with other practice groups as needed, with opportunities to touch related areas such as intellectual property litigation
Qualification
Required
JD from an accredited law school with a 3.0+ GPA
Admission to the California Bar in good standing
3+ years of civil litigation experience at a reputable law firm
Solid commercial litigation background, including contract and business tort matters
Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Strong verbal communication skills and a collaborative, professional demeanor
Preferred
Prior experience arguing motions and taking or defending depositions is strongly preferred
Intellectual property litigation experience is a plus but not required
