Preventative Maintenance Field Service Technician

Yancey Bros. Co. is an authorized Caterpillar equipment dealer proudly serving Georgia since 1914. They are seeking a Preventative Maintenance Field Service Technician to perform preventive maintenance on various types of customer/rental machines at job sites, ensuring safe and timely service delivery.

Machinery

Responsibilities

Drive to customer’s job site daily to complete preventive maintenance
Operate heavy equipment to determine deficiency’s or performance issues daily
Perform all necessary preventive maintenance work for each specific interval service
Complete all work orders, time sheets & inspections from completed services
Operate service truck safely and comply with all regulations
Must be able to obtain a CDL license if required
Participate in required safety program and work in a safe manner
Additional duties as assigned by manager

Required

High school diploma or equivalent
Must have a mechanical background with 2 to 3 years of experience with heavy equipment, automotive, or on highway trucks
Basic computer skills
Excellent communication skills
Can work independently with little to no supervision
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, to include some nights and occasional weekends
Candidates missing one requirement will still be considered
Must be 21-years-old or older
Valid, active driver's license. Class B CDL license preferred
Ability to read, write, and speak English
Ability to clear driver screenings and provide necessary information for a complete DQ file, including but not limited to: Road Test administered by Yancey personnel, Background check and MVR with less than 10 points, DOT Physical, Drug Screen
Must not be disqualified to drive a CMV under 49 CFR § 391.15

Preferred

Course work from accredited trade school, college or university with emphasis in mechanics, hydraulics, and automotive electronics is desirable
